Joan Arnold's 80th Birthday - July 28

On Sunday July 28th, nearly 200 guests crowded into Cameron Close to attend Joan Arnold's 80th birthday celebration. At that stage Joan had been celebrating for nearly a week as her actual birth was on the previous Tuesday.

Many ANATS members, friends and ex-students (including Joan's first student!!) were there to help Joan celebrate.

Guests were welcomed by Jenny Caire, ANAYS Vic President.

Since Joan had been an inaugural member of the Lieder Society, as well as ANATS, this was a joint Lieder Society/ANATS function and President Ian Lowe and many other Lieder Society members attended.

Guests were entertained by the singing Casey family, the Chime Choir, Eleanor Kerr and baritone Barry Fry, Suzanne Johnston and Judi Connelli and others. David Ashton-Smith compered with his usual flair and also sang.

Add to that a marvellous afternoon tea washed down with champagne and a great afternoon was had by all!

I'm sure all ANATS members Australia-wide congratulate Joan on this milestone and send her good wishes for the future.

Jazz Workshop - Aug 28

This was conducted by Michelle Nichole. The small audience was very appreciative and participating singers benefitted from Michelle's expertise and easy delivery.

Photos should be emailed as large as possible up to around 1MB in file size. The bigger the photo the better.
Any format welcome including JPG, TIFF, BMP etc.
If you're unsure, just try sending the file as you have it and we'll let you know if we have any hassles with it. We rarely do.

If you only have a hard copy (normal photo on photographic paper), you're welcome to send it to us for scanning.
