Trevor Jones will discuss current methods of coaching musical theatre repertoire with classical singers. He will present some of the existing published material on the shifts in vocal technique required for "crossover" singers, as well as discuss a possible structure for preparing musical theatre songs for performance with classical singers.

Katrina Wellins will discuss approaches to teaching contemporary voice including appropriate vocal tone/onset, dynamics - The Australian Idol effect, diction & dipthongs, vibrato - its role in contemporary voice performance and pop belting/mix belting.
