About your presenter:Freya Meredith-Hanson is a proud Wonnarua woman with connection to Awabakal and Worimi country. She is an interdisciplinary performing arts advocate, teacher and practitioner. Her connection to community, culture, and storytelling through the voice is at the heart of her artistic practices. An early-career researcher, Freya is among the first published Indigenous researchers on the singing voice, and presented on singing voice equity for First Nations peoples at the International Congress of Voice Teachers and the National ANATS Conference in 2025. She holds a Master of Fine Arts (Music Theatre) from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Music (UON), and a Diploma of Music Theatre (ATWEA). Through ongoing research and advocacy, Freya is dedicated to inspiring others to join her in creating an equitable and validating industry for all. Ngarkatowa nyiirun kilibiinbiin.
