Updated: Apr 3, 2021

Join ANATS NSW to celebrate World Voice Day 2021

World Voice Day is a global annual event held on 16 April, which is designed to celebrate and acknowledge the value of the voice in people’s daily lives. It was first launched in 1999 in Brazil and since 2002, has been celebrated around the world. World Voice Day aims to bring awareness to the necessity of preventing voice issues, training the artistic voice, rehabilitating the sick voice as well as sharing voice science, pedagogy and the vocal arts with the wider community.

To celebrate World Voice Day ANATS NSW will host a free afternoon concert of a range of singers, showcasing different vocal styles and different phases of vocal development. We will aim to feature a range of young voices, semi-professional voices and older voices. We would also like to feature a range of musical styles, including classical, music theatre and CCM.

If you have a singer who would like to present a song at this concert, please ask them to film themselves performing a song of no longer than 5 mins and upload the video to a private YouTube link and send this link to anatsnswsecretary@gmail.com. Please make sure each performer announces their name, age and what song they are going to perform at the beginning of the video. Please ensure that videos are submitted to anatsnswsecretary@gmail.com by Friday 19 March in order to be considered.

ANATS will provide an accompanist for the successful performers and organise a short rehearsal before the concert on the Saturday.

Tickets are FREE to those who would like to attend and can be booked at trybooking.com/BPIXE

Due to COVID restrictions all attendees must prebook tickets. Tickets will not be available at the door.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 17 April for a spectacular celebration for World Voice Day!
