The first part of the webinar, led by Dr. Titze and Karin Cox, will focus on the science:
A review of the latest research, including the recent Voice is FREE after SOVT study.
An overview of the evolution of SOVT methods, grounded in peer-reviewed literature.
Visual examples, diagrams, and video links to bring the principles to life.
This session bridges theory and practice, making complex research accessible for singers, teachers, coaches, and voice therapists. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of why and how these methods work—and how to integrate them into your own teaching or clinical practice.
Following this, Mindy Pack will bring the science into application with the Voice Straw system, a tool she developed after completing the Vocology Program. Mindy will:
Demonstrate how to find the right straw size and fit for clients.
Show when and why to use different straw options.
Lead a live demonstration with a singer new to straw phonation, giving you a real-time look at assessment, lesson structuring, and repertoire development using the Voice Straw and Cup combinations.
The webinar will conclude with Q&A, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with our expert presenters.
