EMMA MATTHEWS Brisbane, May 7
An opportunity for Brisbane’s aspiring singers, singing teachers and opera lovers to learn from Emma Matthews’ own experience. Emma is a highly acclaimed and awarded soprano, having received more Helpmann Awards than any other individual artist, nine Green Room Awards, the Mo Award and the Remy Martin Australian Opera Award. This event coincides with Emma’s residence in Brisbane during her performance as Léïla in Opera Queensland’s production of Bizet’s The Pearlfishers.
In Conversation with Emma Matthews will start with ANATS Queensland President Shelli Hulcombe interviewing Emma about her journey from young singer to acclaimed opera principal. Emma will then work with classical singers to provide vocal technique as well as career advice.
